Khammam. CPI (M) Polit Bureau member Comrade Prakash Karat lashed out at the BJP led NDA Government and said that they are following the ideology of the Sangh Parivar.
Participating at Mahajana Padayatra at Khammam district, he accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of implementing policies only to add to the financial inequalities in the country. It is right to time to wage a nation wide fight against the Centre, he said. Comrade Prakash Karat also said that the Left Parties and other organisations should join hands to mount pressure on the government.
Both the Centre and State Governments are trying to close sub plans which are meant for the welfare of SC and STs he said. Though Modi Government abolished Planning Commission the Left government in Kerala and Tripura are implementing sub plans, he said.
He also took a dig at the TRS Government for not keeping promises on housing to poor, land to Dalits and Tribals.
He said that that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is trying to suppress the Tribals by seizing off their lands near the forests. KCR is stepping into the shoes of Modi who is giving priority to business class, corporate companies and ignoring the plight of people. Our Padayatra is for social justice and comprehensive growth and will exert pressure on the government for the same, he said.
