Following this afternoon events in Ahmedabad where the police forcibly shifted Mr. Hardik Patel on fast to a private hospital in Ahmedabad on 14th day of his hunger strike seeking justice for the farmers and the people of Gujarat. Mr. Hardik Patel, a popular youth leader has been on hunger strike since August 25, 2018 at his farm house near Ahmedabad. Mr. Hardik Patel has received tremendous support from the youth, farmers and the working class from Gujarat as well as from all corners of the country. The movement organized by The Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) and was led by 25-year old youthful Hardik Patel who was on hunger strike and he gave up even sipping water since yesterday. The movement leaders declared this morning that the BJP government is not interested to solve the farmers issues and therefore this movement shall continue till victory.
Prof.Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party and a Sr. Advocate in the Supreme Court of India besides being Executive Chairman of State Legal Aid Committee and Human Rights Council. He announced total solidarity and support to the movement led by Patidar Agitation and youthful Hardik Patel has been fasting in support of the farmers movement since August 25, 2018 at Ahmedabad. Prof.Bhim Singh on the invitation of the friends of the movement had booked his flight for Ahmedabad on 8th September, 2018 with General Secretary, J&K National Panthers Party Ms. Anita Thakur. He had also informed the Director General of Police in Ahmedabad as well as the Chief Secretary, Govt. of Gujarat about his visit to see Hardik Patel in his striking station where he has been fasting for two weeks in support of the demands of the farmers. Prof.Bhim Singh described the act of Gujarat BJP Govt. as sad and shocking that the government instead of talking to Hardik Patel and his companions chose to drag the hunger striking person from his bed to the hospital.
Prof.Bhim Singh had to cancel his air-dash which was scheduled for the morning of 8th September, 2018 to Ahmedabad. He informed about this sad situation and urged the Prime Minister of India for his personal intervention to ensure that justice is done to the striking Hardik Patel and to the farmers he has been fighting for and resorting to hunger strike on Gandhian way in Ahmedabad. Prof.Bhim Singh also appealed to the youth, students and trade unions and all to support the farmers movement of the land of Mahatma Gandhi. Prof.Bhim Singh expressed all support from political and constitutional platform for the movement of Hardik Patel under the leadership of Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti in Gujarat. He assured that he shall march to any part in India or anywhere in support of the people who are or have been fighting for justice through non-violent means and methods.
