Haji Anayat Ali Inaugurated 3 days Kargil International Film Festival

Chairman J&K Legislative Council Haji Anayat Ali inaugurated the Kargil International Film Festival 2017 at Syed Mehdi Memorial Hall Kargil.
In this festival, more than 85 documentary films from 29 different countries will be screened in three days. The Festival is organized by DBG Films Mumbai in Collaboration with Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Kargil and Student Educational Movement of Kargil (SEMOK) .
The Festival Started with the screening of Documentary Film Tune of Hope which was liked by the audiences and applause a lot.
Congratulating Sajjad Kargili the coordinator for the festival, for organizing such international level Film Festival in Kargil Haji Anayat Ali stressed on the need to make Kargil open for film makers whether for commercial or for social films.
Such events provide opportunities to the people of Kargil to market itself to the outer world so that with the help of such events its potential area that is tourism will be highlighted for a better economy and employment.
The Guest of Honour CEC LAHDC Kargil Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan and Special Guest MLA Kargil Haji Asgar Ali Karbalia while talking on this occasion urged upon the youths to experience social and other films rather than restricted to commercial and entertainment films.
Meraj Sidiqui the Director of the Festival while talking about the motive for organizing the festival told that it is only to change the image of Kargil as a War Zone to the world and show the world the beautiful culture, tradition and Ethnicity of the district.
Besides other who spoken on the occasion were Methew Joseph, Tom Joseph, Hassan Hundurmani and Nazia Batool.
The film screening will remain continue for two more days at Syed Mehdi Memorial Auditorium Hall Kargil.
