Zareen Khan who is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film Aksar 2 was present at the trailer launch of the film on Monday. During media interaction Zareen said, story matters to me more than how big my co star is.
Zareen who debuted with a big budget with Salman was asked why she chose to work in small budget film, to which she said, “I am an actor so at the end of the day my job is to act, and if the script is better than any other big budget film then why not do it. It is the story that matters to me rather than how big my co star is. I am very thankful for the debut that I made with Salman Khan. I think the debut that I made must have been a dream debut for so many people. But that does not mean that I don’t work with other actors. That does not make the film any smaller and it doesn’t make my work any less.”
The ‘Hate story 3’ actress was asked about doing another hot and steamy role in the film, she said, “I am very happy to be a part of this film. The first Aksar was very intriguing and so is this one. I am very happy that I was chosen to do this film. There isn’t anything in this film that people aren’t aware of or haven’t seen before. I wish people will not make assumptions and wait and watch the film. I have no idea why there is a problem of me doing such roles when everyone else does it too. Even if I don’t do such roles but wear something fashionable at an event, media will still make a big deal out of it.”
The actress was asked if receiving an A certification will hinder the film’s potential business, “It doesn’t matter if the film gets an A certification. I feel in case that it does, people will feel more intrigued to know what’s in the film and come to watch it. Plus in our country, there are so many ways to watch a film. If people want to watch the film they will.”
Aksar 2 is a sequel to 2006’s Aksar directed by Ananth Mahadevan. The film stars Zareen Khan, Gautam Rode and Abhinav Shukla in lead roles. The film will also feature S. Sreesanth the former cricketer as a lawyer.
Zareen was last seen in ‘Hate story 3’ directed by Vishal Pandya. Her future projects include, ‘1921’ by Vikram Bhatt and ‘Amar must Die’ by Param Gill.
‘Aksar 2’ will be release on 6th October 2017.
